The boys arrived at Adare Manor on Sunday after playing in the UK.

Today was a particularly good day for Shane Filan away from the links, who celebrates his 43rd birthday with the second day of the event.

His daughter Nicole and son Patrick were with him on his big day, as he and Nicky Byrne and Kian went for a title shot at the event.

Nicky also brought one of his sons with him for the day and the pair were seen walking the course together.

He and Shane took the time to stop and take photos with fans and sign autographs for those who had tickets to the sold-out event.

And Kian said ahead of tonight’s closing party that they hoped they could get Tiger Woods to sing happy birthday to Shane.

Nicky said this was her second Pro-Am after competing at the last event in 2010 and praised the McManus family as “so generous and lovely”.

Kian told the Limerick frontman: “I’m not the greatest golfer in the world, but we’ll still get a little crazy.”

But even though they are on the same team, he wanted to finish with a better score than his comrades.

He said: “We’re on the same team but I secretly want to beat them both because they’re big in their golf, a bit more than me.”

And he added: “Limerick isn’t a place where Westlife has done a lot but it’s nice to be here, nice to be a part of, beautiful scenery, nice day, we can’t ask for much more. ?”

Kian told Kathryn Thomas TEN and said they take golf “semi-serious” and he was “delighted” when his teammates put their balls in the water but his landed on the green.

He said the event was “super awesome” and added, “It’s a good thing to be a part of it.”
