Westlife in Cork: Stage times, setlist and road closures as the band prepare to rock Páirc Uí Chaoimh

After rocking Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday, it’s Cork’s turn this weekend to welcome pop sensations Westlife.

As part of their Wild Dreams Tour, the Irish crooners will welcome over 80,000 fans to Cork for their two shows.

Westlife, which has sold more than 55 million records worldwide and 13 number one singles in Ireland, performs dozens of concerts in Ireland, the UK, the Middle East and Asia as part of its tour.

What are the accompanying acts?

The band will play Páirc on Friday and Saturday with a star-studded opening cast of Emeli Sandé and Wild Youth supporting both nights.

What are the timetables for the stages?

The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday with Wild Youth taking the stage at 6:30 p.m. Emeli Sandé will play from 7:30 p.m. while Nicky, Kian, Shane and Mark will start at 8:30 p.m.

Road closures and traffic management

Although the concerts are not yet sold out, huge crowds are expected on both nights, meaning authorities have had to institute a number of road closures and traffic management plans for both nights.

Many local roads will be closed from 10 a.m. to midnight on both days, including: the Maryville-Blackrock Road junction; the Ardfoyle-Park Avenue junction and the Monahan Road-Link Road junction.

From 5 p.m. on both days: Center Park Road, Monahan Road, Church Lane and Crab Lane will all be restricted to residents-only access.
