The Backstreet Boys reimagine “Last Christmas” from Wham! in the first holiday track from their upcoming album

The Backstreet Boys are giving fans an early Christmas present with the release of their first new single from their upcoming Christmas album.

The boy band dropped the beloved holiday track “Last Christmas” on Tuesday. They reinvented the original 1984 song from Wham!, but the lyrics remain unchanged.

Along with the festive new track, the Backstreet Boys have shared an accompanying lyric video.

A very clandestine Christmas, October 14 marks the band’s first holiday album and their first studio-recorded project in three years. The album includes other popular Christmas songs like “White Christmas”, “Silent Night” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, as well as three original tracks titled “Christmas in New York”, “Together” and “Happy Days”.

Ahead of the album’s release, the Backstreet Boys will continue to play the final US shows of their “DNA” world tour before heading to Portugal in October to kick off the European leg.
