Backstreet is back in western New York for the first time in years, and a member of the boy band calls the shots.
The Buffalo Bills win Super Bowl LVII.
Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys fired up the crowd at the Lake Darien Amphitheater on Sunday night when he told the crowd he grew up watching the Bills. He followed that up with his Super Bowl prediction and asked fans in attendance to make sure it gets broadcast on the internet.
“I’m a Buccaneers fan, but I also have the Buffalo Bills in my heart,” Carter told the Darien Lake crowd. “When I was a very small kid, I grew up watching the Buffalo Bills,” Carter told the crowd after admitting to being a Buccaneers fan. “So I will make a prediction right away. Go ahead, put it in your phones. Save it here and put it on the Internet. The Buffalo Bills are going to win the Super Bowl this year. I call him. You heard it here. Mark the date. The day before the 4th of July. Nick Carter called him.

Based on the response, it’s clear Bills fans want it.
Carter’s prediction, while crowd-pleasing, is far from bold. Bettors currently have the Bills as favorites to win this year’s Super Bowl.
If Josh Allen and the Bills win the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the year, they will be considered larger than life in Western New York.
The Backstreet Boys DNA World Tour has been postponed for the past two years due to Covid-19. Their boy band had several top 10 hits throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.
