Shaquille O’Neal charged the boys from Nsync and Backstreet $25 to use his $11million Orlando home studio

Shaquille O’Neal’s Orlando home is ridiculous, but did you know he once charged the boys from Nsync and Backstreet $25 to use his studio?

Shaq has led a whole lifestyle. Throughout his years in the NBA, he wasn’t known for his ridiculous spending, but after his retirement he really showed his money.

Apart from the occasional splurge and celebration, Shaq was also a very good businessman. It was his insight and ability to recognize bargains that earned him a fortune of $400 million.

Much like his FG% in basketball, he doesn’t have a 100% track record when it comes to picking winning deals. An example would be his failure to sign two of the biggest boy bands of the 1990s to his label.

Yes, Shaq missed the signing, not one but two boy bands. You might even be shocked at which ones!

Shaquille O’Neal failed to sign Nsync and even the Backstreet Boys after giving them his studio

It’s no secret that Shaq’s home in Orlando is among the best. The massive 31,000 square foot mansion is one of the largest in the entire city. He is also worth $11 million.

In the same mansion, there is a recording studio, and it is equipped with state-of-the-art features. Which is also good by today’s standards.

In fact, it was so good that two booming boy bands at the time, namely Nsync and Backstreet Boys, wanted to use it. And Shaq obliged for a meager $25 an hour.

But what’s more important here is the fact that Shaq lost an opportunity to sign them both. Yes, as Shaq himself admitted, not once but many times.

He feels it was a missed opportunity. We don’t deny it. We too believe it was a huge missed opportunity worth hundreds of millions.
