Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys performed in a Montreal pub and it’s 1997 again

The Backstreet Boys are in town for their Sept. 3 concert at the Bell Center and Nick Carter gave Montreal fans a taste of the performance at the Burgundy Lion Pub on Notre-Dame Street West.

Nick Carter gave a private acoustic performance at the Montreal pub, an event called Chords & Coffee where he sang a string of classic Backstreet Boy hits, including the band’s signature song “I Want It That Way.”

The Burgundy Lion Pub has posted a handful of videos and photos of Nick performing, chatting with fans and signing autographs on their social media – and suddenly it’s 1997 all over again!

“Thanks for stopping by,” Burgundy Lion wrote on their Instagram Stories, followed by a photo of Nick playing his acoustic guitar.

Nick will join bandmates Kevin Richardson, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Howie Dorough for tonight’s show at the Bell Centre. The Backstreet Boys will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.

The band was in Quebec last night and will be heading to Vermont tomorrow to continue their DNA world tour.

When the Backstreet Boys were supposed to have an after-party in Montreal at Yoko Luna, they had to cancel it due to scheduling conflicts.

“We’re sad we can’t celebrate with our fans but we’ll see you next time,” the band wrote. Considering the Backstreet Boys are always adding Montreal to their list of cities to visit on tour, we’re sure they’ll be back in no time.
