However, the Algarve struggled with scorching temperatures causing drought and numerous fire outbreaks.
Last Friday, Nicky was evacuated for a while while staying at the exclusive Quinta do Lago resort.
A spokesperson confirmed: “He is in Portugal with his family and has been evacuated from the house for some time.”
The station was forced to close some of its facilities as services tried to bring the fires under control.

However, it has since fully reopened and Nicky and her family are enjoying their vacation.
The Dubliner took to Instagram today to share some photos from his trip.
The Westlife star posted a photo of himself buried in the sand at the beach, looking very relaxed in pink sunglasses.
The next photo Nicky shared was of his glass of wine which he enjoyed while taking in the beautiful sunsets on the beach.
The final photo was of him and Georgina grinning from ear to ear next to each other.
The married couple wore matching outfits.
Nicky wore a white shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
Meanwhile, Georgina looked stunning in a flowing blue and white long sleeve dress and gold heels.
The 43-year-old’s friends and fans all loved his snaps.
