Drake teases ‘crazy’ new music after performing with the Backstreet Boys

Drake is teasing more new music to come on the heels of his recent appearance with Backstreet Boys.

The OVO frontman received criticism last month after releasing his surprising new album Honestly, Nevermind. Although he’s pushed back against his critics, it’s clear he’s ready to move on and release more new music. In a recently resurfaced clip featuring himself and French Montana, Drake announced he was returning to “crazy” music.

“I’m back going crazy, I’m letting you know,” the 6 God said. “I’m in a different bag right now, I promise you.”

Drake didn’t give any further details or preview what’s to come, but knowing him, he’s already logged the vast majority of what’s to come. He also recently revealed that he has another Scary Hour mixtape coming.

Drake also got the chance to live out every 90s baby’s dream when he got to join the famous Backstreet Boys on stage this weekend.

The rapper was among the fans who attended the Backstreet Boys concert in Toronto, Canada on Saturday night, and Drake got the chance to perform the band’s mega hit, “I Want It That Way.”

The band made Drake an honorary member and called him their “sixth member”. A video was shared online by the Backstreet Boys. “What better than I want it like that?” ” The subtitle.

In the 2-minute video shared on Twitter, the Backstreet Boys sing a mashup with their songs and Drake’s “Hold On We’re Going Home” freestyles before launching into the famous track.

Drake, who clearly enjoys the band’s performance, also recalled one of his favorite memories as a child from the song “I Want It That Way.”

“At 13 I had a bar mitzvah, and at my bar mitzvah, for the first time in my life, this girl I was in love with came up to me while one of the greatest songs in the world was playing, and she asked me if I wanted to dance with her,” Drake said.

The rapper continued, “It was the first time I felt recognized, and it was the first time I felt like, you know, I had a chance to be cool.”

Drake, who previously played television character Jimmy in Degrassioften shared his own identity issues and need for validation at the time.

He shouted the girl mentioned in his story.

“If she can see me now, do you see what I’m talking about?” he said before joining the band singing the tune.
