Boyzone’s Shane Lynch is leaving showbiz for good

Los Angeles, Aug. 23 (IANS): Speaking candidly about his future plans, Shane Lynch, a member of Irish boy band Boyzone, said he has left showbiz for good.

The former Boyzone singer, 46, has shut down rumors that he could join the Irish boyband in the future and said he was enjoying life running his businesses instead, mirror.co.uk reports.

Since Boyzone disbanded in 2000, Shane has opened a chain of 1920s-inspired hair salons called The Elk & Clipper and owns an Irish bar in Cheshire with his wife Sheena White.

Speaking to Christine Lampard on Monday’s episode of Lorraine, Shane said: “Listen, I love my boys to pieces and I think for me personally the last set we’ve ever done, certainly in Ireland with yourself there, it was kind of the last show for me.

“I’ve really had enough, I love the professional life and I love everything I’ve created and built because sometimes you go back on tour and you lose a lot. You also lose a lot of family life. I think so that I am stable where I am and very happy to no longer be outside this world.

Sheena and Shane recently moved their lives from the south of the UK to the north when they moved to Cheshire.

With the move, the couple were given the opportunity to appear in the Real Housewives of Cheshire, which won’t change now that Shane has left showbiz.

“The only thing you’ll see me do is be real housewives because that’s part of our lives and they’ve come into our house and it’s all genuine.

“I happen to be one of them, but my professional life has reached a whole new level and I’m happy about that.”
