U2’s Bono, Hozier and Westlife are among many incredible artists lending their voices to the global charity campaign : On my way
The European musicians joining the ON THE WAY global charity campaign have been revealed.
Bono, the lead singer and lead lyricist of rock band U2, also known as “rock legend”, is the first to back the ON THE WAY campaign.
Bono, Paul David Hewson, is an Irish singer-songwriter, activist and philanthropist. U2 are a rock band that have gained worldwide popularity and maintained an anthemic quality based on spiritual themes. After releasing many generally well-received albums, U2 reached an all-time high of 150 million albums sold.
Not only has Bono performed at numerous charity concerts including Band Aid Live, Live Aid and a concert for Mandela, but he has also spoken out for social justice and participated in numerous charity fundraising programs for fight diseases like AIDS. His name is also often spotted on Nobel Peace Prize nominees due to his generous contributions.
Bono plans to take the lead in spreading the message of peace by speaking out on social issues and conflict through this charity campaign.
Along with Bono, Irish singer-songwriter Hozier and British music legend ‘West Life’ are in talks to schedule the musical recording of the campaign song.
The official campaign website www.ontheway.orgwill announce future campaign details and the names of upcoming artists who will join the campaign to spread love, share and bring change to underprivileged people around the world.
