On March 12, Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter sat down and chatted with Digital Journal’s Markos Papadatos at 90s Con, which took place at the Hartford Convention Center in Hartford, Connecticut.
On being a part of 90s Con, Carter said, “It’s so much fun. It’s one of the first 90s Con’s that was ever made and you don’t realize everything that happened in the 90s not just the actors and the singers and the things that you love and with you grew up. It definitely turned out to be so much fun for me and everyone here.
Four shows in Las Vegas at the Colosseum
Carter is excited about the four upcoming shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. These four performances will take place on April 8, 9, 15 and 16 and they will serve as the official kickoff of their 2022 “DNA World Tour”. was before we stopped touring, but I’m getting closer and closer to it. We had to stop halfway through this tour two years ago,” he said.
“It’s going to be fun because we’re using Las Vegas and the Colosseum as the kickoff party for the upcoming big tour,” he said.
Working with Dionne Warwick and Damon Elliott
It will be part of the next single from living music legend Dionne Warick and her son Damon Elliott, “Smile”, which will benefit the charity Operation Smile. “I’m really good friends with his son, Damon Elliott, and it’s such a great song. We’ve been trying to do something with her for so long. Dionne is a very big legend, so I’m excited to see how this song will end,” he said.
Dream Duo with Heart
Carter shared that he would like to do a dream duet with Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart one day. “Working with them would be a done deal,” he exclaimed. “Heart is literally my favorite band.”
If he were to have a superpower, he revealed it would be “to be invisible.” “I could walk through those big crowds without being seen,” he said with a laugh. “Just kidding, I love it.”
On the title of the current chapter of his life, Carter remarked, “Reborn.”
To his devoted Backstreet Boys fans, Carter remarked, “Get ready for the most amazing two years you’ve ever had. We are really back and we are more motivated than ever.
“It’s important to realize that – with the state of the world – our job is more than ever to entertain, and I realize how important that job and responsibility is and I look forward to helping people get rid of of the madness of the world.” Carter concluded.
